The Great Flood (Architecture)Tuesday September 25th (2007)
We arrived at college this morning to be greeted by a flooded building. A hose had come off the pressure cleaner in the Textiles/Printmaking screen cleaning room. The result was two inches of standing water in the print room, the textiles studio and the Graphic design studio. The water was discovered at 6.00am this morning by one of the caretakers, by this time it had gone through the floor, into the science labs and down into the team room on the ground floor. I was too busy helping with the mopping up to get a decent photograph of the water but this was the damage to the toilet on the ground floor. Needless to say there was no teaching in E-block today.
