I walk down to Towner Eastbourne to have a last look at the Margaret Mellis Modernist Constructs exhibition. These are two of her early paintings: White Wine Bottle and Candlestick. Also Still Life with Champagne and Tomatoes, both from around 1952 - 53. I have to say that I really don't think they are very good paintings. Send a comment
